Moving to Meteora is done with our air-conditioned 8 seater vehicle and the simple route lasts 1 hour. Our destination are the majestic imposing rocks of Meteora, where from the 11th century there are dozens of orthodox monasteries built in their caves and peaks. UNESCO has designated Meteora as a "Preserved and Protected Monument of Humanity" The Greek State as a "sacred place, unchangeable and inviolable". Our goal in this excursion is to learn about the history of this blessed place, when and who created the monastic community of Meteora, learn how the monks were protected by foreign conquerors and how this unique geological phenomenon was created. We will also have the opportunity to have a professional guided tour in the monasteries. We will pass through ancient paths, we will be photographed at the most impressive places and we will learn about the culture and the history of this place from a different angle!
This excursion starts from our offices in the center of Metsovo. Prices are valid for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people.
