The journey to Zagori "the place behind the mountain" is made with an air-conditioned 8-seater van and the one-way journey takes 1-1:30 hours. Zagori belongs to the UNESCO world cultural heritage list from Autumn 2023. It consists of 46 small, traditional, stone-built villages, which, combined with the natural beauties of this place, constitute the ideal destination for someone to plan their excursion. To begin with, we will visit the stone arched bridges of the 18th and 19th centuries (Kokkori, Plakida, Milos, Lazaridis) and the villages of Kipoi, Koukouli and Kapesovo. Then we will visit the point "Oxia" with the amazing view in the Vikos gorge. The Vikos gorge is about 10 km long. it is a designated national park and is in the Guinness book of the records. From "Oxia" we offer a visit to the very nearby village of Monodendri with its picturesque center, very interesting culinary options and the monastery of St. Paraskevi of the 15th century. After resting and enjoying in the village square, under the century-old plane trees, local products, we will take the road back to Metsovo.
