The national park of Valia Calda (warm valley) is located in a particularly inaccessible area of the Pindos mountain range. The park was founded in 1966 and includes the Valia Calda and Arkudorema valleys as well as the Avgo 2177m and Flegga 2157m Peaks. It is characterized by the variety of morphological contrasts and the rich flora and fauna. In this program, we pass successively through the most impressive landscapes: Flegga peak with a great panoramic view, Flegga dragon lakes, Valia Calda National Park with the beautiful black pine forest, swimming in the natural swimming pools in the bear stream and we end up in the village of Vovousa. There, after having something to eat next to the Aoos river, our vehicle will pick us up and we will return through a beautiful route back to Metsovo.
